What is Visual Merchandising?

“Visual Merchandising is the presentation of a store and its merchandise to the customer through the teamwork of the store’s advertising, display, special events, fashion coordination and,  merchandising  department in order to sell the goods and services offered by the store.” as defined by Kenneth  H. Mills & Judith E. Paul Martin Peglor (2007) defined visual merchandising as an arrangement of a retail store and its products in ways that will attract the attention of prospective customers and induce them to make a purchase. Visual Merchandising is an outcome of teamwork with a  focused approach selling the merchandise offered by the store.
